Del Río International Airport is located in Val Verde County, two miles northwest of Del Río, Texas. Its usefulness is centred on general aviation. The airport reached 15,357 aircraft operations in 2010: 83% general aviation, 9% airline and 8% air taxi. The airport belongs to the city of Del Río. Seven members of the airport advisory board supervise and manage all operations and development of the place. The FAA classified the airport as a primary commercial non-hub airport.
